These terms apply to your use of the CedarBasis website and the early access list. CedarBasis is a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada (“CedarBasis”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or joining the early access list, you agree to these terms.
CedarBasis isn’t available for use yet. When it is, separate terms will apply to the product, and we’ll ask you to accept them before you use it.
Early access
Joining the early access list doesn’t guarantee access to CedarBasis, or any particular timing, features or price. We may change or stop early access at any time. Anything we describe on the website, including features, examples and pricing, may change before launch.
Not tax, accounting or legal advice
The website describes software for organizing investment records and preparing workpapers for review. Nothing on it is tax, accounting, legal or investment advice. Examples on the website, including the demo workpaper, use fictional corporations and figures. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation.
Using the website
When you use the website, you agree not to:
- give false information when signing up, or sign up on someone else’s behalf without their permission
- interfere with the website, try to get around its security, or overload it
- scrape or copy the website’s content in bulk, or use automated tools to submit forms
- use the website for anything unlawful
Our content
The website, including its text, design, logo and the CedarBasis name, belongs to CedarBasis. You may view it for your own use, but you may not copy, modify or redistribute it without our written permission.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve CedarBasis without any obligation to you.
Links to other websites
The website may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content.
No warranties
The website is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CedarBasis isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the website or the early access list. Our total liability for any claim relating to them is limited to CAD $100.

Our privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario.
